About

Karnpanich Tunskul
I am on the job market for 2026–2027.

Hello, I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE) at The Ohio State University.

I am an economist and an environmentalist (not always in that order). Teaching is my passion. I have supported environmental economics classes and taught an interdisciplinary sustainability class at Ohio State. I also enjoy applying my knowledge to research. My research interests lie in the field of environmental and resource economics, with a current focus on land conservation, forest and agricultural land use, and land-based environmental policies. My work experience in the Thai government — particularly at the Department of Climate Change and Environment and the Cooperative Promotion Department — shaped my interest in policy-relevant research and in teaching that connects theory to real decisions.

Outside of academic work, I enjoy playing games (video and tabletop), assembling puzzles, going for walks in the park when it’s warm, and trying new food and restaurants.
